Original Artworks and Commissions

Copyright

Roselle Saunders ("the Artist") retains the exclusive right to make and sell copies of their artworks ("Work"), the right to create derivative works, and the right to display their Works publicly.

Payment Terms

The Artist shall only begin the Work after receipt of the initial deposit payment ("the Deposit") which shall be no less than 50% of the price quote given to you (the "Customer"), inclusive of any applicable taxes and shipping.

Upon completion of the Work, the remaining balance shall be paid by the Customer prior to the Work being shipped. 

Revisions

Any minor revision requested while the Artist is creating the Work shall be accommodated so far as possible.


Major revisions shall be accommodated subject to additional fee, to be agreed between the Artist and the Customer.

Any revision requested within 7 days of the Customer's receipt of the Work shall be accommodated. In this instance, the Customer shall be responsible for all shipping and associated costs of returning the Work and having it re-shipped from the Artist.

After those 7 days the Work shall be deemed to be accepted as is.

Timescales

The Artist works on a first come, first served basis. An initial indication of timescales will be given with the price quote, and this will be confirmed on receipt of the Deposit.

Important dates (birthdays, anniversaries) should be indicated in the initial correspondence and the Artist shall do their best to accommodate them. 

​

Please note that the standard production time is 10-12 weeks, excluding shipping.

Cancellation

If the Customer cancels within 7 days of the Artist's receipt of the Deposit the Customer shall be issued a full refund.


If the Customer cancels after 7 days of the Artist's receipt of the Deposit, the Deposit shall be kept by the Artist in full to reimburse for lost time and materials spent on the Work.

Shipping Damage

Any damage identified by the Customer from shipping must be photographed on receipt of the Work and sent to the Artist by email at rosiesaundersfineart@gmail.com.


If the damage is deemed by the Artist to be beyond basic repair then the Artist shall replace the Work.

Social Media

The Artist may post any Work that is in progress on their social media pages, use it for advertising or for any teaching channels that they may have.

If the Work being created is to be a surprise, the Customer shall notify the Artist no later than the date the Deposit is paid. In that instance the Artist shall refrain from posting images etc of the Work on social media until the Customer has notified the Artist that it is okay to do so.
